Hard Core Award

For many years the TYEE TRIUMPH CLUB has awarded this coveted trophy to an individual who demonstrates exceptional dedication to the Triumph legacy. Other car clubs have similar awards known by various names such as the "rusty spanner" or the "nut on the board." Carved in the shape of the club's original logo, this Indian-head treasure has passed through many hands over the years.

Nominations for this prize are taken at each monthly meeting.  Requirements may include an unusual or complicated restoration, driving where no other Triumphs have gone, using a Triumph in a manner previously unheard of or doing something particularly foolish or crazy which may or may not be related directly to a Triumph. Of course there is always some discretion and humor in the award process. And, the winner must bring the wooden treasure to the next meeting. Not only have we gone several months without finding a worthy candidate, the trophy has been known to rattle around in a Triumph boot for months, its owner thinking it was just part of the normal British experience. What have you done that is worthy of a HARD-CORE nomination? Bring your story to the monthly meeting or post it on the club message board.
